Home - News - Alicante: 2nd best city in the world for teleworking

The rise of teleworking has made Spain one of the most popular destinations as a place to work remotely.

A ranking compiled by InterNations has chosen Alicante as the 2nd best city in the world in which to combine work and life for foreigners, beating such popular destinations as Lisbon, Singapore and Abu Dhabi.

Foreigners choose Alicante as one of the best cities in the world to live in because of its combination of good weather all year round (more than 300 days of sunshine), beach, quality gastronomic and leisure offer, safety, health, the high level of educational centres and the good air and AVE (high speed train) communications. Another factor is the good value for money of housing, something that is not easy to find in other coastal destinations with a good quality of life.

The difference in the cost of living and housing for foreigners, together with the climate and leisure, are the main reasons why foreigners choose Alicante as a city to telework.
